Matthew R. McConnell

Matthew McConnell is a native of Miami, Florida, relocating to Naples in 2005. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida (2013), his juris doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law (2016), and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2016. Matthew achieved Florida Bar Board Certification in City, County and Local Government Law in 2023.

Matthew currently serves as the Assistant City Attorney for the vibrant community of St. Pete Beach, Florida, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping and upholding the legal framework which governs the city's operations. With a wealth of experience, dating from his appointment in 2018, Matthew has demonstrated a profound commitment to the city's legal needs.

He also proudly serves as a Special Magistrate for the City of Indian Rocks Beach and as a Development Magistrate for the Town of Kenneth City. Most recently, Matthew was selected by the City Council of the City of Naples to serve as the attorney for the Code Enforcement Board.

Matthew leads the Firm’s estate planning and probate division. He was selected by Naples Illustrated in 2022 and 2023 as one of Naples Top Lawyers in Trust & Estates.
